Maxercise is both a mixed martial arts training academy and sports fitness gym located in the heart of Center City Philadelphia. It is not only dedicated to teaching its students a variety of martial arts, but is also committed to assisting the Philadelphia community in achieving their fitness and healthier lifestyle goals.

BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU
The first academy to bring Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to the East Coast, Maxercise offers students some of the highest quality instructors and training. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a grappling martial art which teaches that a smaller and presumably weaker person, when using the right technique, can defend themselves against a larger, stronger attacker and force them to submit.  Classes are offered throughout the day, six days a week. read more…

The academy also houses the first Kettlebell gym in the nation, offering our own Maxbell certified instructors for personal and group classes in this particular system of strength training. Kettlebells are essentially cannonballs with handles attached, in weights that range from roughly 17 lbs. up to 88lbs. Kettlebell training is a total body workout, to improve your cardiovascular health, your flexibility, and challenge your muscles through strength training, in as a little as a 1/2 hour workout.  We have these short, amazing kettlebell classes conveniently scheduled most days of the week, several times a day.  read more….
