Philly’s First National Martial Arts Day! October 20, 2012

National Martial Arts Day PhillyWe are proud to announce Philadelphia’s very first National Martial Arts Day (NMAD). National Martial Arts Day is a way to showcase the several different types of martial arts in our area, as well as the multitude of benefits that the martial arts can bring ANY individual, regardless of their age, gender or physical abilities. Seeing as how this is the 1st NMAD for Philadelphia, the City represented by City Councilman David Oh, will be on site to issue a citation in acknowledgement of this event. Over the next year, we will continue to work with the City of Philadelphia and in 2013 we plan to have a Proclamation issued for ALL Martial Arts Schools within the City, securing it as an annual event!

On Saturday, October 20, 2012, Maxercise will have an open house from 10am-2pm. During this time we will have a schedule of events for the day, including a women’s self-defense seminar, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and MMA Demos and introductory classes, kids demonstrations and intro classes for ALL ages (3.5-14), Women’s Only Boot camp style workout, Muay Thai, Judo, Brick Breaking, Kettlebell Challenge Competition and so much more! Out front we will have a DJ rocking the streets, as the kids demonstrate some of their crazy weapons routines and back flips! It is going to be an amazing day packed with non-stop fun and excitement for all ages. And the best part, IT’S FREE!

We are inviting all local business within our area to feel free to provide us with any marketing materials, promotions, special offers, etc., to have on hand during our open house, to help promote their business. We are also accepting any form of donations being offered by the local businesses, such as coffee, bagels, snacks, special NMAD only coupons, supplements, etc. If you would like to have any of your staff on hand, please let us know so we can make the necessary arrangements.
